Léks Rivers has been one of my favorite underground artists since the release of “Cherry” two years ago. The slow, mature single gave listeners an intimate look into the world of a blossoming young singer. Fast forward to the end of 2016 and Rivers is still leaving a lasting impression through his music. His latest effort, “No Rest For The Wicked” plays out like a war cry and finds Rivers experimenting with a different, more aggressive and urgent delivery (similar to his last single “You’re my X & Here’s Y”) with the same end result. This new direction is incredibly exciting to watch and hopefully there’s a full length project coming from Rivers sooner rather than later. Until then, enjoy “No Rest For The Wicked” and check out “Cherry” below it.
