Jay-Z’s “4:44” hits the street on June 30th

Sprint & Tidal users are getting a treat on June 30th. A few days ago Jay-Z announced he was releasing his new album and movie (possibly a documentary?) next week exclusively on his streaming service and Sprint’s mobile network. On top of all that, the entire album is solely produced by legendary No I.D. It has been over four years since we have gotten a full fledged project from the rapper so let the hype begin! Be on the lookout for more info on the project in the coming days and hopefully a single. June 30th is just right around the corner!

Drake drops artwork for ‘Views From The 6’

There’s just 5 days left before the release of this years most anticipated project, Drake’s Views From The 6. Today the 6 god dropped off the official artwork for the album. Check out little Drake posted up on that famous building in Toronto. Slightly reminiscent of J.Cole’s 2014 Summer Hills Drive cover. Check it out above and get ready for Views.

“Creativity is the building blocks to your soul.”

I heard this interview in the car last week, but I was so blown away by it that I feel it’s still definitely worth sharing. Darryl “DMC” McDaniels of RUN-DMC recently spoke with Shadrach Kabango on CBC Radio One’s program q. Take 20 minutes to listen to the radio cut or watch the full video if you have more time on your hands. DMC is a captivating storyteller and talks about many significant moments in his life, including the role of comic books growing up and how Sarah McLachlan saved his life. McDaniels is a supremely interesting and inspiring person; get to know the legend from the legend himself.

[WAKE UP] Mac Miller reveals new alarm clock app promoting upcoming album “GO:OD AM”

The fact that Mac Miller has a new album on the way makes me happy as hell. Faces was one of my favorite projects of 2014 and GO:OD AM is shaping up to be even better. Today, Mac took to Twitter to announce that he has his own alarm clock app to promote the album. He’s the first rapper, to my knowledge, to promote an album through an interactive app which is actually a dope way to get people involved. Look for more rappers to do this in the future. You can download the app via iTunes below.

Download the official app on iTunes.
