Jeffery (AKA Young Thug)- “No, My Name Is Jeffery” (Album Stream)

large-2

The cover art is wild, the rollout of the album was confusing, the name change is still over the top and confusing, but this might be the best piece of work that Young Thug has put out to date. Jeffery, aka Young Thug releases his mixtape (album??) No, My Name Is Jeffery today on most major streaming services. He calls on the services of Travis Scott, Quavo, Gunna, Duke, Gucci Mane, Offset, Young Scooter & Wyclef Jean. It seriously sonically sounds amazing and you can tell Thugga sat down and actually wrote these songs rather than just free styling. Do not skip over this project. Stream on Spotify below and also check it out on Apple Music or Tidal.

Skepta’s debut album “Konnichiwa” is finally upon us and it bangs. The U.K. artist really puts Grime on the map with this one. “Numbers” with Pharrell Williams is a standout not because of Pharrell but because of the beat. Don’t miss out and stream this below.

G-Eazy’s sophomore album “When It’s Dark Out” has the Bay area artist stepping out of his comfort zone

I know it was only two or three years ago but we all know you have fond memories of going wild to G-Eazy & Carnage’s turn up track  “Loaded.” However, the Bay area artist has come a long way since then.

On Friday, G released his sophomore album When It’s Dark Out. The album is exactly how Gerald described, much darker and more personal. The rapper gets into topics about living on the road, loneliness and even loss. It is crazy to hear G, someone who I’ve come to know rapping about models and bottles, get into a more personal space with his music. Overall it is a great album and will fit perfectly into Eazy’s catalogue. Stream the whole project below and let us know what you think.

Curren$y keeps it consistent with latest album, “Canal Street Confidential”

currensy-Canal-Street-ConfidentialI’ve been a fan of Curren$y for quite some time. Back when he was dropping a new mixtape every month and when he and Wiz were the new Cheech & Chong is where I got hooked. Everything about Spitta’s flow to his beat selection gets my head nodding. The word that comes to mind with his latest effort, Canal Street Confidential is consistent. It is everything a Spitta fan would want on a Spitta album. All thirteen tracks on the deluxe edition will make it into your rotation. With that said, stream the entire album below and turn your car stereo up and take flight.
