ASAP Rocky’s new short film is like ‘City of God’ meets ‘The Wire’ meets the rap game

Rappers branching out from the rap game into fashion, art and other fields is no new thing but it’s becoming more and more of a trend these days. A$AP Rocky recently dropped off an interesting short film called Money Man, the film debuted two new songs from Rocky and the rest of the mob with a feature from UK heavyweight Skepta. Check out the film below, it’s an eery fusion of the movie City of God, television series The Wire and the rap game.

ASAP Ferg announces new mixtape coming very soon

Despite just releasing his sophomore album Always Strive & Prosper fairly recently, Ferg is back. The tape will be titled Still Striving and will, according to Ferg’s snapchat, be coming out “very soon.” I’m definitely excited to see what direction this tape goes and hopefully it follows in the footsteps of Trap Lord. Stick with us for  more info involving Ferg and the rest of ASAP mob.

“WHAT THE F*** RIGHT NOW?” Tyler the Creator revamps Kanye’s “Freestyle 4”

Yikes. Tyler snaps on his remix of Kanye’s “Freestyle 4.” We know how much he loves this song after multiple videos surfaced of him going crazy to it in the car and in the club. This goes way harder than the original. The video also fits the vibe perfectly. Watch as Tyler, ASAP Rocky, ASAP Nast and others absolutely wyle out in the studio. Tyler hangs from the ceiling, Nast rides a chair around and hits his head on the ground and Rocky jumps around providing some ad-libs. Check it out below.

Check out A$AP Rocky and Pharrell’s track “Hear Me”

The whole ASAP Mob has been busy lately. Today, we not only get a previously unheard track from Rocky, but we also get the CDQ versions of “Yamborghini High” and “Wu-Tang Forever.” Previously the only links were radio rips that were censored and sounded like trash, so thank God for the CDQ. Anyway, the previously unheard track is called “Hear Me” and it features none other than Pharrell. Give all three songs a listen below.

[HOT] Listen to ASAP Rocky’s “Yamborghini High” right now

OVO Radio was poppin’ today. The Beats 1 station was taken over by ASAP Lou and J Scott and they dropped off some heat for us. “Yamborghini High” sounds like a cut off of ASAP Mob’s 2012 mixtape Lord’$ Never Worry. Personally, that mixtape is one of my favorite collaborative efforts by any label in the past few years and I’m incredibly excited to see what ASAP Rocky and the Mob put out in the next few months. Also, be sure to peep Rocky on the remix of Drake’s “Wu-Tang Forever” below.
