DJ Corey Grande got the night started off yesterday in Columbus performing a dope set. Check out some other work from the Cleveland native via his Soundcloud page right here. All photos by Jesse Wiles (jwilesphoto.com)
Alexander Dreamr then took the stage with singer Larry Robertson, the duo performed a song together before Alexander took over. Check out his Soundcloud page here.
After Alexander’s performance, Stark came on stage and performed his DJ set.
Following Stark’s set it was Yacht Club’s turn to perform. They didn’t disappoint by putting on one of the better live performances I’ve seen in the last year.
The final performer of the evening was Hashu. Performing his last concert before leaving the country the young rapper absolutely killed his set.
Sunday night Sir Michael Rocks, Pouya and Hashu put on a very intimate show at Park Street Saloon. Sir Michael Rocks has a new project called Populair coming out soon. Pouya has been steadily growing a fan base via the tour and should have something new for you all soon. Hashu has a show coming up in Columbus, Ohio on May 30th that Smooth Waves will be attending. Check out some photos by Jesse Wiles and Erik Lindberg below. Enjoy.

Park Street Saloon was the place to be last night if you were in Columbus. Ab-Soul and a number of other performers put on a very dope show. Check out some photos of the performance below.
Dreamer, who was featured on XXL’s The Break earlier this year, started the night off on a high note with his set.
The next performer was Hashu. The 16 year old Columbus native performed quite a few songs, including “What I Do.” Which he dropped two days ago and you can stream below.
Atlanta’s EarthGang took the stage after Hashu and played a wild set. Their sound is new to us here at Smooth Waves but you can bet that you’ll be seeing and hearing more from them in the future. Everything about the duo, from their outfits to their lyrics, was very dope.
Next up was Bas. Bas is part of J. Cole’s Dreamville Record label. The NY native not only had a killer set but also had a section of the crowd that looked as though they had come out just for him.
Once Bas left the stage it all Ab-Soul for the remainder of the night. His performance was something else. For over an hour he performed songs from all over his resumé. Many of the songs were from These Days… of course, but, he also performed songs from Control System and other projects.
Hashu and yacht club are quite the pair. The production on “What I Do” is hard-hitting and grabs the listeners attention from the get-go. Then, Hashu comes through and murders this track. The 16 year old Columbus native might not be old enough to buy cigarettes but he already spits harder than half of the rappers getting radio play. Seriously, this is one of the dopest songs we’ve heard from a young and up coming artist in awhile. Don’t let his age fool you, Hashu is serious.
