The Memphis Connection: Mulherin links up with Jon Waltz for “Royalty”

Jon Waltz and Mulherin, both originally from Memphis, teamed up to create this new song titled “Royalty.” The production duo provides some hymn-like lyrics in the background and Jon Waltz dances over the beat like usual. Hopefully more from these two is in the works because this sounds nice. Check it below.

Smooth Waves Premiere: Ramsay Almighty’s “Saving” (Prod. by ANDRU)

The Coldest Canadian is back at it again. A few months after releasing “Rainy Daze” featuring Jon Waltz, one of our favorite underground tracks of 2014, he unleashes a new song for his fans. “Saving,” begins with a hook, sung by Ramsay, that sounds a lot like the vibey, melancholy Kid Cudi from the Man On The Moon II era. Ramsay croons “I don’t know why, I don’t know why they don’t want saving. No.” Immediately after the hook Ramsay begins to spit over the fluid production from ANDRU. This track is a good showcase of Ramsay’s versatility. He proves that not only can he drop some nice, hard-hitting bars but he can also switch things up and sing or opt out for a slightly more light hearted delivery. Stream this one below and as always, stick with us for more from our brother to the North.
