Batman and Robin, Jordan and Pippen, Kobe and Shaq, Mick Jenkins and Kaytranada.

Kaytranada and Mick Jenkins both took over 2016 by storm. The two have been collaborating for awhile now and both released their debut albums this year. They linked up again one more time before the close of the year to give us another banger. “Aurora Borealis” features Mick’s signature deep voice, with a conscious flow of rhymes over rugged sonic terrain courtesy of Kaytranada. Give the track a listen below.

Kaytranada offers up a contemporary twist to the classic Afrika Bambaataa track “Planet Rock” without straying too far from the songs roots. The song, which premiered via Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show earlier this week is a nice addition to Kaytranada’s catalogue of remixes. The remix joins Kaytranada’s past twists of Janet Jackson’s “If” and Teedra Moses’ “Be Your Girl.” Take a listen to the remix below and let us know what you think.

BadBadNotGood Kills it with their Latest Studio album

badbadnotgood

The four young, towel-clad individuals that make up the experimental jazz group BadBadNotGood, released their album IV today and it is nothing short of expectations. With big names such as, KAYTRANADA, Mick Jenkins and Colin Stetson tied to this project, the final product could’ve taken on any sound. BBNG demonstrate a new dynamic sound, but don’t abandon raw instrumental talent that got them this far. Check out IV below.
