Out of nowhere, Meek Mill drops off an EP titled “4/4”

All Drake jokes/ beef references aside this tape slaps. In case you thought Meek Mill was done, he’s not. Out of nowhere he drops off a surprise 4 track EP titled 4/4. This is the Meek I loved to listen to back in 2012, this is the mixtape-Meek that the streets need. If only he would just get off the Drake beef and understand that he took the L and that’s that. Anyway, he doesn’t want to let go and he responds to Drake’s “Back to Back” on the tape rapping “Was that my girl tour or the world tour?/ I do not know what you pussy niggas goin’ for/ This that 100k a night when you perform tour/ Swimmin’ in that good pussy while you on tour.” Listen to this short, concise tape from Meek and enjoy. Also, don’t expect Drake to shoot back any time soon, if at all.

All of Drake’s four new songs are hits

screen-shot-2015-04-09-at-12-31-40-pmIn the midst of one of the biggest rap beefs in recent history, finishing up and album, scheduling a tour and a legal battle against Birdman and Cash Money, Drake is still able to drop not just one hit, but FOUR. Drake is on fire. His latest four songs, “Back To Back Freestyle,” “Right Hand,” “Charged Up,” and “Hotline Bling” have been on repeat for days. I felt it was only right to update the site finally and give this man the respect he deserves. I personally cannot wait for Views From the 6 which is supposed to drop sometime before the summer. In some ways it could turn into a race between Drizzy and Kanye West to win the summer since no one has taken the crown yet. Even though two of the four tracks are diss tracks towards Meek Mill, the Toronto artists has a bunch of relatable lines thrown in throughout. In case you missed any of the four tracks, stream below and stay tuned to Smooth Waves for more on Drake and his album.

The Weeknd- “Pullin Up”

the-weeknd1With Meek Mill’s Dreams Worth More Than Money dropping last week, The Weeknd let loose his own solo version of the song he was featured on titled “Pullin Up.” To go along wit the song, Abel added a video or visual stimulator of him performing at what it looks to be like the BET awards. The song itself is awesome with or without Meek Mill and the video is definitely worth a listen. I mean, when is any Weeknd not welcome when your girl is around? Exactly. Press play below.
