April 7th can’t come soon enough. Kendrick continues to push his forthcoming album with the intoxicating new single “HUMBLE.” The video is filled with religious undertones and shows Kendrick in Jesus’ spot at the table in a reenactment of the last supper. Surprisingly, production on this one comes from Mike Will Made It and Kendrick flips his flow to match the tireless beat. Check out the video below and keep an eye out for his album coming soon.
After teasing this song almost a year ago in July, we finally get the full version. Mike Will does his thing on the beat and Rihanna sings about how “Nothing is Promised.” This is a banger that you’re sure to hear all over the radio’s this summer. Check it out for yourself below via Apple Music. Expect to hear this on Ransom 2 which will hopefully be releasing this summer as Mike Will’s been working on it for quite some time.
It’s been a few months since we’ve gotten new material from Tinashe but she’s back now. Her song “Party Favors” featuring Young Thug was one of the hotter tracks of 2015 and she teams up with another rapper for her newest single. Juicy J jumps on the Mike Will produced cut and drops some bars that are kind of hilarious. Not sure they’re supposed to be hilarious but he drops some bars about yoga, Oprah and giving up both kidneys. Tisane does what she always does and delivers quality sounds. Check it out below, Juicy comes in at the 3:15 minute mark.
Sonny Digital absolutely bodies everything about this track. From the production to the instrument selection to the use of his voice, this is cool, and different. A lot of people probably won’t like this, but I’m gonna be hitting play over and over again for the next few days. Listen for yourself below and let us know if you’re digging it in the comment section.
This took me a few listens to get into. But, I’m super into Eearz delivery and flow now that I’m a little more used to it. “Domino Effect” was produced by The Alchemist and Mike-Will-Made-It. Eearz brings the 2008 vibe on this one, check it out below. He also has a mixtape dropping soon titled Eearz to da Streets Vol. 1.
