Earlier this year Smino and Sango linked up for the track “Lemon Pon Goose” and the result was absolute fire. Though the summer heat is long gone and the cold Midwestern snows are setting in for good the two haven’t stopped putting out heat. “blkswn” is much more laid back but still retains the same uptempo, elastic sound that both artists have seemed to master. Check this out below you won’t be disappointed.
It’s been a minute since we’ve heard from Mick Jenkins, arguably the best rapper coming out of Chicago right now. The Chitown spitter has been busy finishing up his debut album, The Healing Component, which will be out on September 23, 2016. His latest effort comes courtesy of producer Sango and is titled “Spread Love.” The song is a slow ballad, soulful and compassionate with some additional keys from Dee Lilly. The come up we’ve witnessed with Mick has been a thing go beauty thus far and The Healing Component is shaping up to be one of the best projects of the year.
This track is absolutely insane. The first 30 seconds sound like T-Pain and Akon in 2007, then Smino and Jean Deaux smash the fast forward button and take us directly to summer ’16. This NEEDS to be in your rotation. Word to Sango for the crazy production. Hands down the best song I’ve heard in a few months. Check it out on the low.
