Alex Wiley and Mick Jenkins unite on “Automatic”

unnamed-201

Alex Wiley and Mick Jenkins sound good together.

Mick’s deep, sometimes gravelly delivery and Wiley’s more playful, stoner sound contrast each other  perfectly, especially over the production found on “Automatic.” The Chicago emcees have both been busy lately, Mick’s tour is starting up soon and the release of his debut album and third installment of his current trilogy, The Healing Component is set to release in a few weeks. Wiley has an album coming up titled Synthia and another single featuring Mick set to drop on this Thursday. Keep an eye out for both of their respective projects and give “Automatic” a listen below.

It’s been a minute since we’ve heard from Mick Jenkins, arguably the best rapper coming out of Chicago right now. The Chitown spitter has been busy finishing up his debut album, The Healing Component, which will be out on September 23, 2016. His latest effort comes courtesy of producer Sango and is titled “Spread Love.” The song is a slow ballad, soulful and compassionate with some additional keys from Dee Lilly. The come up we’ve witnessed with Mick has been a thing go beauty thus far and The Healing Component is shaping up to be one of the best projects of the year.
