Cousin Stizz just hit us with a stunning new video for his single “500 Horses” off his sophomore tape Monda. Join him and his crew in riding through the streets of Boston as they hit the cemetery to pour up for the dead homies, narrowly avoid getting arrested at the park, mob out in a parking lot, and put down a pound of the ganja amongst other things. Talk about putting your city on the map.
If you’re at all upset with the current state of affairs in the world and also care about looking trill, you may be interested in Sopa de Gooch’s “Angry” t-shirt. You can get it for $10 right here: SOPAdeGOOCH and be sure to check out some of the other dope prints, clothing and zines for sale.
Boston’s very own “Yung Dyke Thespian” follows up his politically charged last release “Swaggerdick 2016” with a collection of extremely based freestyles, once again showing off his talent for making meme rap that goes super hard. Don’t let the titles fool you, songs like “White Girl Shady Like the Rap Game”, “Da Niygga” and “Whole Squad Gay” are all certifiable bangers.
Madeintyo gets a big assist from Big Sean on the remix of “Skateboard P,” an homage to Pharrell off of the project “Thank You, Mr. Tokyo.” The upbeat, K Swisha-produced tracked features the two flexing in the image of Pharrell and buddy Nigo (founder of BAPE).
Royalty member and frequent Kari Faux collaborator Black Party finally releases debut EP “Mango”, a soothing soundscape that feels like what many hoped Frank Ocean would deliver this year. Black Party, up until now mostly known as a producer, demonstrates a beautiful vocal range that blends perfectly with the groovy rhythms, creating what I would call my favorite project of 2016. It is only a matter of time before he becomes a household name.
You can also watch his gorgeous new visual for “Best View”, a scenic affair directed by Noah Kalina and produced by Ibra Ake, right below.
