Must Listen: Trapo’s debut album ‘Shade Tree’ is here

trapo2

Trapo, a rapper from Wisconsin, made some waves this past year with the release of a mini EP titled SHE and his debut mixtape Black Beverly Hills. Since the successful release of those projects he’s been all over blogs like The Fader and Pigeons and Planes. Today we finally get the debut effort from the rapper who’s drawn comparisons to Chicago’s Mick Jenkins and despite his young age has a knack for telling stories that seem much older than himself. Give his album a listen below and enjoy.

Also, some merch from the album is available here on his website.

This is the best thing you’ll listen to this week: “The Black Beverly Hills” EP by Trapo

Yo, Wisconsin has some rappers, that are good. I was recently put on to WebsterX by one of my homies and today I stumbled upon another Wisconsin based rapper named Trapo. At 17 years old he’s making better music than most of the shit you hear on a daily basis. His project The Black Beverly Hills is a very interesting look into his young mind. The project flows nicely from start to finish. Trapo displays his range of deliveries, from a deeper, brash voice to a lighter attempt at singing that sounds very intriguing. I’m going to personally keep an eye on future releases and anything this young man does, he’s going to be big. Do yourself a favor and listen to his entire EP today.
