Brockhampton is getting ready for a big year, watch their video for “Cannon” here

Brockhampton had a great 2016, the individual artists who make up the group all grew by themselves and that growth is apparent in their newest song/ video “Cannon.” Kevin Abstract, Merelyn Woods, Don McLennon, Bearface and Ameer Vann all contribute to the track. The group will hopefully be dropping the follow up to their 2016 project All American Trash in the coming months. Watch “Cannon” below and if you haven’t listened to All American Trash please familiarize yourself.

Kaytranada flips Afrika Bambaataa’s “Planet Rock”

Kaytranada offers up a contemporary twist to the classic Afrika Bambaataa track “Planet Rock” without straying too far from the songs roots. The song, which premiered via Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show earlier this week is a nice addition to Kaytranada’s catalogue of remixes. The remix joins Kaytranada’s past twists of Janet Jackson’s “If” and Teedra Moses’ “Be Your Girl.” Take a listen to the remix below and let us know what you think.

Ride through Boston alongside Cousin Stizz in new visual for “500 Horses”

Cousin Stizz just hit us with a stunning new video for his single “500 Horses” off his sophomore tape Monda. Join him and his crew in riding through the streets of Boston as they hit the cemetery to pour up for the dead homies, narrowly avoid getting arrested at the park, mob out in a parking lot, and put down a pound of the ganja amongst other things. Talk about putting your city on the map.

Vic Mensa freestyles on Ebro in The Morning

I have yet to listen to There’s a lot Going on, Mensa’s first full length release since his 2013 mixtape Innanetape, but if it’s anything like this I’m very excited. Artists freestyling on radio shows lately haven’t been anything to write home about and I wasn’t expecting too much from Vic Mnesa’s appearance on Ebro in The Morning, but I was wrong. Mensa goes in over Pusha T and Jay Z’s “Drug Dealer’s Anonymous” and drops a slew of nice bars. You can check it out for yourself below. Some memorable one lines are, “fuckin’ A, I dance away the pain. Don’t wanna hit the Quan I do my dab and duck a stray,” and “I’m going Wu-Tang forever. My crew bang forever. Save Money with that Rocafella, my new gang forever.”

Stormzy drops off an aggressive new track titled “Scary”

Coming straight for your neck.

All I wanna hear is grime. American hip hop/ rap can take a backseat because Stormzy, Skepta and a plethora of other UK artists are the future. The other day Stormzy hit the inter webs with a tough new song/video titled “Scary.” The UK spitter always comes correct with the aggressive bars that sound like he might snap at any second and turn words to actions. Check it out for yourself below.
